This native-led movement is focused on protecting and sharing knowledge about the importance of Sturgeon to the Great Lakes and Milwaukee.

Sturgeon Protectors are committed to:

• Educating ourselves and others.

• Creating awareness that Sturgeon are an indicator species of our lakes and river systems.

• Protecting Sturgeon from poaching or accidental harvesting.

• Inspiring others to love and protect Sturgeon and the Water as we do.

Anyone can become a sturgeon protector. It’s up to all of us to ensure this special creature, not only returns, but flourishes in our shared waters.
